Control System
This is a computer-based control system and usually includes a series of sensors, control devices, and a central processing unit (CPU). The control system manages various systems of the building (heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, etc.).

Sensors
These devices collect information from various systems within the building. This information can include temperature, humidity, light levels, air quality, and more.

Control Devices
These devices control the operation of various systems within the building, based on the information collected by the control system. For example, a control device can determine when an HVAC system will turn on and off to maintain a specific temperature.

Software
This is a tool used by the control system to analyze the information it collects and send commands to control devices based on its outputs. The software usually allows monitoring and control of the building’s automation systems through a user interface.
